Signs of Spring

Just because we're experiencing some winter weather right now doesn't mean we can't warm up with thoughts of more temperate days. Here are a few images from our 2011 wedding season at the Clark House. It helps to see the green lawn and lovely flowers and remember that spring is just around the corner!

One of our fabulous brides and a member of her wedding party pose for a shot on the Clark House lawn. From the back yard or the pavilion to the front yard, barn or inside the house, every spot at the Clark House makes a gorgeous backdrop for your most special event. The hard part is selecting which location you'd like! Our team here at the Clark House is happy to consult with you and take care of all the details so your most special event will be a smashing success.

We'd love to hear from you soon. We're already booking dates into 2013, so if you have one in mind for your wedding or other event, give us a call. And don't forget to stop by our booth at the 2012 Magic Moments Bridal Show, this Sunday January 15 at Cookeville High School, from 12-6pm.

Clark House Weddings: Jordan & Willie

We love to start off a Monday by sharing some images of a recent Clark House event. This weekend was full of much celebrating as we hosted the nuptials of Jordan & Willie. The sweet, simple ceremony was held in the front yard beneath a canopy of maple trees, per the bride's wishes. Guests were seated on hay bales which had been covered with antique quilts, on loan from family and friends. After the "I do's" were said, guest enjoyed a reception at the Clark House stables, which were also styled with sentimental touches.

The floral arrangements were loose and had a garden feel and other fall decorations added a seasonal whimsy to the day. The crisp October air was a welcome addition and everyone was relaxed and happy. As always, we feel honored to have played a part in helping Jordan and Willie create a memory that will last a lifetime.

Clark House Weddings: A Sneak Peek with Audrie & DJ

Here are a few images from the most recent Clark House wedding...that of Audrie and DJ. The front lawn was transformed into a wildflower garden to fit the bride's request of a simple, relaxed ceremony with a garden feel.

The circle on the front walk made a perfect backdrop for the bride and groom to say their vows to one another in front of friends and family. The day couldn't have been more lovely...just perfect for an outdoor wedding.

Several special touches let the bride's personal style shine through and after the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed, fun reception. We're so glad Audrie and DJ decided to share their special day with us here at the Clark House! Tune in for more pictures to come!

Clark House Brides: Lindsey

A few weeks ago, we teased you with a post featuring a gorgeous Clark House wedding and today we'd like to share a few more images with you. Lindsey, the lovely bride, was kind enough to share some of photos with us....all photos by Red Letter Days Photography

The day was absolutely gorgeous for an outdoor wedding and as you can see from the photos, many different areas around the house made for a pretty backdrop. We are so happy for Lindsey and hope her wedding day was everything she had always dreamed it would be.

Beautiful Blooms with The Magnolia Garden Club

The Clark House was fortunate to play host recently to The Magnolia Garden Club for a delightful afternoon. The 17 garden club members gathered on the grounds for a demonstration on how to create beautiful hand-tied bouquets. Mitchell White, The Clark House's resident floral design expert, led the workshop.

Some of the ladies in attendance brought flowers from their own gardens, but all were given the opportunity to go on a scavenger hunt of sorts in the Clark House wildflower garden to cut stems for their bouquets. Such southern favorites as hydrangeas, snapdragons, and queen anne's lace created lovely additions to the arrangements. The workshop covered hand-tying in addition to creative ways of binding bouquets.

After the workshop, which took place in the Clark House barn, garden club members strolled up to the house and were served a signature lunch of chicken and other delicious fare.

Here at the Clark House, we are excited to host events such as this and look forward to having the garden club visit us again! If you have an event you think the Clark House would be the perfect setting for, please contact us! We love being part of your most special days!

Clark House Weddings: Cody & Lindsey

We know everyone is anxious to see some pictures from our most recent wedding so without further ado, here is a little sneak peek! Cody and Lindsey were married this weekend on the front lawn of the Clark House in front of about 340 of their friends and loved ones. The event was styled in shades of white, ivory and peacock blue and we think it embodied all the elegance and glamour the bride was hoping for!

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails at the stables and a reception followed at the pavilion. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time and danced the night away. Be sure to visit the blog often for new pictures and updates! And maybe you'll see your special event featured here too!
